A swim jig is a versatile lure for pro tournament anglers. In Florida we do something really unique with it. I take my Nichols Sledge Hammer Swim Jig and a Net Bait Kickin' Bee and fish it almost like a topwater lure over heavy cover and vegetation like lily pads and grass. It's a perfect way to trigger bass that won't commit to eating a topwater lure like a frog because you can pause your retrieve and let the bait sink down in the holes. You can also pause the lure if you see a fish following to trigger a bite as well. It's an awesome fishing technique anywhere you're fishing heavy cover with a frog but can't get the bass to commit to eat the frog.
